Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan defied a government ban on rallies to hold a homecoming event in Kogi State on Tuesday, receiving a grand welcome from her supporters in Ihima.
Arriving in a white helicopter, the lawmaker dismissed claims of violating any law, insisting that she was simply celebrating Sallah with her people. The Kogi State Government had earlier imposed a curfew and warned against public gatherings, citing security threats.
Despite the restrictions, Akpoti-Uduaghan declared that no one could stop her from returning home, emphasizing her strong ties to the community. She also accused top government officials of orchestrating a political witch hunt against her.
