The high powered party reconcilation moves by the PDP governors forum has started yielding results.
The governors forum held in July in Bauchi had a panel of five governors set up to reconcile all former aspirants with the party’s flag bearer and all other aggrieved stakeholders of the PDP in Anambra. The members of the panel were Governors Aminu Tambuwal, Ahmadu Finitiri, Udom Emmanuel, Godwin Obaseki and Samuel Ortom.
Following the successes recorded, the senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Senator Uche has been appointed as the chairperson of the Valentine Ozigbo Governorship Campaign Council. This was announced late Sunday evening after a press briefing at the residence of Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of PDP, with Valentine Ozigbo and Uche Ekwunife in attendance.
Prince Secondus said that the appointment was evidence that PDP’s internal dispute resolution mechanism is effective and that the benefits of her appointment will be far reaching.
He also said that the milestone , coupled with other plans that will be unveiled soon shows that PDP is ready to regain Anambra in 2021.
In her remarks, Senator Uche Ekwunife said she was honored to be appointed as the Campaign Council Chairperson and urged all PDP faithful to put in their very best to ensure that the party wins the Governorship race.
Valentine Ozigbo also extolled Senator Ekwuinfe’s political prowess and expressed his happiness in having her take the leadership of his Campaign council. He also thanked the PDP leadership and all the PDP governors for their outstanding efforts and urged them not to relent until the party wins the election.
