The Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, is set to launch DocTracker, a digital platform designed to promote transparency, accountability and public participation in the execution and maintenance of state infrastructure projects.

Developed by the Anambra State ICT Agency, the platform will enable residents to access information on government infrastructure projects from contract award through construction and completion to the maintenance stage. It will also provide an avenue for road users and other residents to offer feedback on project conditions and performance over time.

The initiative aligns with Governor Soludo’s commitment to ensuring that every kobo of Anambra State’s resources works for the benefit of Ndi Anambra. By giving citizens access to project information and opportunities to contribute feedback, the platform is expected to strengthen public ownership, improve monitoring and promote the sustainability of government investments.

Speaking during a review of the platform at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure complex on Monday, the Commissioner for Works, Arch. Okey Ezeobi, said public infrastructure belongs to the people and should be protected collectively. He stressed that roads are constructed to serve residents, making their involvement in monitoring and preserving them essential.

The Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), explained that DocTracker integrates project tracking and maintenance into a single platform to enhance accountability, monitoring and citizen participation.

Both officials expressed optimism that the platform would be launched in the coming weeks after additional features are incorporated.

Meanwhile, staff of the Ministry of Works are undergoing information technology training organised by the ICT Agency to strengthen the ministry’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.
