The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, South East Zone has affirmed Honourable Sir Ndubisi Nwobu as the Chairman of the party in Anambra State.
At an emergency meeting held at the People’s Democratic Party Southeast Secretariat, Enugu, members of the National Working Committee, NWC, Southeast Zone said it had become imperative to gather and mitigate in the crisis rocking Anambra State chapter of the party.
In a communique issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the National Vice-Chairman, PDP Southeast, Honourable Deacon Austin Umahi, the Zonal NWC stated the party is poised to win the Anambra guber poll come 2021.
It informed the public that the Anambra State PDP remains united under the leadership of Honourable Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu, with its State Secretariat at No 1 Dr. Ezidiegwu Road, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.
The Southeast leader cautioned that it would not hesitate to expel any member of the party that fails to respect and honour party constitution supremcy.
It advised Mr Chukwudi Umeaba and his factional members to immediately close the illegal State party office opened in Awka and embrace peace by partnering with Honourable Ndubuisi Nwobu to move the party forward, while also affirming the expulsion of 3 officers of the party in Anambra State.
Furthermore, the PDP Zonal leadership restated its stand that the party will not zone the 2021 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, while assuring all aspirants within the party of level playing ground.
Reacting shortly to the resolution of the Southeast PDP Zonal NWC, Anambra State PDP Chairman, Honourable Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu, appreciated the Honourable Austin Umahi led zonal leadership for its commitment to the growth of the party in the State.
He called on the aggrieved members to toe the part of peace, and embrace the party’s resolution to move the party forward.
