In Imo State, Gov. Hope Uzodimma recently received members of the Action Alliance(AA) into the fold of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Owerri the Imo State Capital.
According to media reports, Chief Lawrence Achinihu from Ngor Okpala led the AA defectors under the guidance of the MD. OCDA, Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie described Gov. Hope Uzodimma and his administration as one that needs no opposition rather support and encouragement.
Appreciating the achievements of the Governor, he said it was their driving force that led them to dump the AA for APC and promised to work with Gov. Hope Uzodimma in making sure that his administration succeeds.
It was also reported that the Governor while receiving them, expressed his delight and made it clear that their decision to formally join the ruling APC is borne out of the internal democracy which drives the activities of the party and the level of transparency and integrity in governance enthroned by the party’s policies and added that the family is big enough to accommodate everyone.
