SWAN URGES ANAMBRA FA ELECTORAL COMMITTEE FOR FAIR ELECTION

A Communiqué issued at the meeting of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Anambra chapter held on Tuesday June 23rd in Awka

  1. That SWAN in Anambra welcomes the constitution of an election committee for Anambra Football Association following the expiration of the four year tenure of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah led administration
  2. That SWAN encourages all football stakeholders (ex-players, referees, club Owners, sponsors) in the state to take keen interest and participate fully in the process.
  3. SWAN urges the Election Committee to be above board and transparent in the discharge of their duties of giving the football community in Anambra a free, fair and credible elections.
  4. SWAN views with every seriousness the exclusion of the association and its members in the information management of the 2020 Anambra FA election process.
  5. The association demands an audience with the chairman of the election committee and his members after the closure of sale of forms on June 24 and before the onset of the next stage of the electioneering process.
  6. SWAN Anambra chapter remains open to positive collaboration with football and indeed all sports stakeholders in the interest of growth and development of footballs and athletes in the state.
