Nigerians have raised concerns over the integrity and excellence of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) as the case of Miss Mmesomma Ejikeme has got many Nigerians sharing their experiences of irregularities on the JAMB website.

On Sunday, the Registrar of JAMB, the body responsible for the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Is-haq Oloyedeha said investigations by his agency revealed that Ejikeme Mmesoma has a forged result which means she was either duped or she is a member of a high-level syndicate engaging in manufacturing fake UTME results.

Since then , Nigerians have been reacting to the accusations as Mmesoma in a viral video, claimed her result which showed 362 was printed from the JAMB portal and that she was not capable of forging any result.

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has asked JAMB to allow independent investigator look into the matter as it is only Independent investigation that would turn the curious episode into a learning opportunity for JAMB and everyone, especially students.

She said that there should be no downsides in asking a team of Independent Technology to investigate and publicly share their findings.

Another Twitter user said that JAMB should produce Mmesomma’s original shaded results following claims by the girl that the QR scan on her result slip shows someone else’s name. The poster said that it is a serious allegation, as there is indication that JAMB may be compromised.

Another Twitter user known as De Great Oracle said that independent forensic team should be set up to investigate the issue.
He also asked the Attorney-General of the Federation to look at JAMB’s clear breach of Section 205 of the Child Rights Act, 2003.
