The remains of late Madam Bessie Nwakaego Ajaoku, was on Friday, 4th November, 2022 committed to mother earth at her compound in Umudum Village, Abagana in Njikoka L.G.A of Anambra State. She died at the age of 90.
Delivering the sermon during the burial, the Vicar in charge of St. John’s Anglican Church, Abagana, Ven. Jackson Onyeakagbusi commended the family of Ajaoku for making God their chief cornerstone. He urged Christians to always be prepared for death, because, it is a debt everyone must pay and no one knows when it will come.
He described the deceased as a devoted Anglican mother, an epitome of love and encouragement to everyone around her, while expressing his condolences to Mama’s family and urged them to follow the good footsteps she left behind.
In a tribute, Mama’s son and vicar in charge of St. Mark’s Church, Umuawulu, Rev. Canon Nnamdi Ajaoku described his mother as precious and so irreplaceable. He described his mum as a source of inspiration to them. He prayed that God shall grant her soul an eternal rest.
Ven. David Ezeobi, Archdeacon Mbaukwu Archdeaconry and vicar in charge of St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Mbaukwu also came to console the family of Ajaoku and also prayed for the repose of Mama Bessie’s soul. He encouraged them to follow the good footsteps of their mum.
In a tribute, Mama’s daughter, Ngozi Ajaoku described her mum as ezinne, a virtuous woman, so peaceful and always neat. She prayed for God to grant her soul an eternal rest.
The event was graced by some dignitaries, many friends, relatives, well wishers, Anglican faithfuls, among others that came to pay their last respects to the deceased.
