President Bola Tinubu, speaking in Beijing, affirmed his readiness to make difficult decisions to advance Nigeria, despite the challenges of achieving national consensus.
Addressing Nigerians in China at the China World Hotel, Tinubu described his visit as successful and emphasized strengthening cooperation with China in infrastructure, trade, finance, and other areas. He urged Nigerians abroad to act as good ambassadors and stressed the importance of discipline and commitment, citing China’s example.
Tinubu highlighted ongoing reforms in Nigeria, including recent changes in fuel pricing, and stressed the need for hard decisions to improve infrastructure and services. He also pledged to replicate China’s infrastructure successes in Nigeria.
Dr. Oche Barnabas of NIDO China supported Tinubu’s efforts and requested assistance in having Nigeria recognized as a native English-speaking nation in China, which could enhance job and educational opportunities for Nigerians.
