Report has it that the United States may block the proposed UN resolution urging a ceasefire in Israel’s conflict with Gaza, stating it could hinder diplomatic efforts already underway.
US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, expressed concerns that the resolution might contradict ongoing mediation efforts aimed at achieving a truce between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar and Egypt.
