
A fatal road traffic crash involving a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number NSH 86 YJ and a yellow tricycle without a registration number was reported yesterday at Nibo. The crash, which was allegedly caused by excessive speeding made the driver of the bus lose control and crashed into the drain yesterday morning at 8:50am opposite St. Joseph Catholic Parish Nibo, along Nibo- Onitsha old road.
According to the release by FRSC Sector Public Education Officer , RC Kamal Musa, a total of Eleven people, 6 male adults and ,5 female adults were involved. One (1) male adult who sustained injury was taken to Prime hospital and the corpse deposited at the Morgue before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from the Sector Command who are on ground to ensure free flow of traffic as obstruction is being cleared.
The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State CC Andrew A. Kumapayi commiserated with members of the deceased family and wished the injured victim quick recovery. More so, he advised motorists to desist from excessive speeding and stick to the speed limits stipulated by law as road traffic crashes are avoidable.
