Amotekun In Ibadan Intercepts 140 Illegal Migrants
Operatives of the Oyo State branch of Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) also known as Amotekun intercepted no fewer than 140 people suspected to be illegal migrants.
They were intercepted on Tuesday around Bodija, Ibadan, when residents discovered that their movement was suspicious.
The truck was from Zamfara state and was headed for Ogere in Ogun State.
The truck was intercepted due to the growing cases of insecurity in the country.
It was learnt that some of the travellers jumped off the truck and fled on sighting Amotekun operatives, another reason why the truck was intercepted.
It was also learnt that efforts are on to send them back to where they came from.
Similarly, the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also arrested no fewer than 45 suspected criminals in some local government areas of the state.
The corps said the suspects were arrested for various offences, including armed robbery, kidnapping, rape and attempted murder.
