
What was originally an APGA party affair, turned into a community tour when Uzu Okagbue, APGA frontline aspirant for Anambra Central senate came calling.
During the visit, Umunnachi community in Dunukofia local government Area of Anambra Central declared total support for the aspiration of their son Uzu.
The meeting convened basically for Uzu to inform APGA leadership in Umunnachi that he is fully in the race for Anambra Central Senatorial Seat, became a gathering of Umunnachi community across party lines.
In his address, Uzu confirmed that he is running for senate because he wants to serve and that nobody urged him to run.
Recall it has become common practice for politicians to claim that they are being begged or persuaded to run for office. But for Uzu, he said he is in the race because he desires to serve the people of Anambra Central at the Senate and has purchased the form, to this, the hall erupted in shouts of celebration in support of his aspiration to serve at the senate.
Among those in attendance were all APGA party leaders in Umunnachi two wards.
Vincent Ezennia, Dunukofia local government APGA chairman described Uzu as “a blessing to the local government.
Other stakeholders at the venue include Chief Ifeanyi Egwime and Umunnachi President General Chief Francis Okonkwo.
