Anambra 2021: We may boycott party’s primaries over non-inclusion, APGA Youths tell Obiano

The 326 Wards Political Youths Leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, in Anambra State, have threatened to boycott the Primary Election slated for June 23, 2021, if the party fails to include them as delegates.

They called on the state governor, Willie Obiano, to help address the issue, wondering why the party has refused to include them as delegates.

Comrade Eziokwu Magnus Eziokwu, APGA Youth Leader in the State, disclosed this while, speaking with journalists, shortly after the 326 Wards Youth leaders of the party unanimously endorsed Honourable Chukwuma Umeoji, as their choice candidate for the November 6, governorship election under APGA platform.

It was gathered that the endorsement took place at Chukwuma Umeoji Campaign Office, opposite Anambra Government House, along Enugu-Onitsha expressway Awka, on Tuesday evening.

According to Eziokwu, “we are the life engine of APGA, as youths. I am still wondering why the party has refused to include us as party delegates, despite our huge contribution to the survival of the party, majorly in the area of grassroots mobilization.”

Eziokwu, on behalf of others commended the governor for his uncommon projects across the 181 communities in the state, including the International Cargo and Passengers Airport Umueri.

Honourable Umeoji, who is currently the serving member of the House of Representative, representing Aguata Federal Constituency, while thanking the youths for endorsing him, assured them that the party, under the leadership of Governor Obiano and the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Oye, would provide a level playing ground for all the aspirants during the Primaries.

He also assured the youths that, if elected, his administration would carry everyone along in respective of any affiliations.
