Our dynamic chapter of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC) welcomes Anambra State citizenry to the month of October 2021 and wishes Nigeria Happy 61st Independence Anniversary.
Our wish is that peace shall reign in the celebrations of the day and shall reign in Anambra State in the remaining period of political campaigns to the competitive election, like no other, on November 6, and for all times.
We wish that in the month, Anambra State would unearth those killing and maiming their men, women and children in form and guise and address the issues on the foreground.
We wish that in Anambra State, the government of fhe day shall act before the head is cut off and not thereafter, as late broadcasts with strong words, not backed by action has never solved any problem in the world
We implore the Inspector – General of Police, who promises a secure, lawful and crime-free governorship election to offer the same guarantees for the campaign period, which comes first and gives meaning to the elections.
We urge reason on the part of those who apply strategies built around violence to otherwise civil situations and urge the youth to interrogate all facts at their disposal, instead of being victims of vast varied propaganda that incite the unwary to violence.
We commiserate once again with the families of those who have lost their lives in the complex admix of involuntary separatist agitations, suspected political assassinations and outright armed robberies, dressed up in the guise of the above options, and trust that Anambra State citizens will assist the security agencies and the state government, if interested, by putting on their thinking caps, avoiding the temptation to take needless holidays and communicating security clues and observations for prompt action .
Once again we welcome Anambra State to a month of solution and Nigeria to a worthy celebration of its flag independence with firm resolve on the reforms that must happen for the nation to be great.
