Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors made a remarkable debut in the ongoing 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League season, dazzling spectators with their exceptional performance.

In their season opener which held in Brinin- Kebbi, the capital city of Kebbi state, the Warriors showcased their dominance by securing a commanding 5-1 victory over Jigawa GS BSC.

Led by the dynamic leadership of team captain Chinweze Gabriel, the Warriors took an early lead through Gabriel himself, followed by an impressive display from Stanley Ekwo, who extended their advantage with two goals. Despite a brief resurgence from Jigawa GS BSC, the Warriors maintained their composure, with Kennedy Amoke and Emeka Ogbona further solidifying their lead.

The defensive resilience of Ekujumi Egan Osi Fayowole and Gabriel ensured that Jigawa GS BSC’s attempts were effectively thwarted, including a pivotal double save from goalkeeper Chibuike Mbakogu to deny a penalty. The game concluded on a high note for the Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors as Emeka Ogbona set up Stanley Ekwo for his second goal, sealing a resounding 5-1 victory.

Continuing their winning momentum, the Warriors secured another impressive triumph in their second match against Kebbi United BSC, emerging victorious with a convincing 3-0 scoreline. Miracle Momah Costa’s superb finish in the second period broke the deadlock, followed by two goals from Ekwo Stanley, ensuring a comprehensive win for the Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors.

With their eyes set on further success, the team remains determined to make their sponsors, fans, and the Igbo community proud as they gear up for the remaining matches in round one of NBSL 2024 before the second round kicks off in Anambra state next month.
