Anambra Govt Assures Justice For Murdered Anambra Lawmaker, Justice Azuka
Anambra State Government has promised to ensure that the culprits and all those connected with the kidnap and murder of the member representing Onitsha North Constituency One, Honourable Justice Azuka, will be brought to book.
The state Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, who stated this in a statement, described his death as regrettable.
The state government, while commiserating with the Speaker and members of Anambra State House of Assembly, the Azuka family, his constituents, among others, said the death of the lawmaker is deeply felt, and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.
The state government commended the swift and decisive action of the security agencies, who worked tirelessly to fish out the criminals responsible for the heinous act, saying that their efforts are testament to government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, and the efficacy of the state’s new security strike force, Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which has been recording strings of successes since its inauguration in January.
The statement called on Ndi Anambra to continue to support the efforts of the security agencies and the government to make the state safe for all and crime-free.
