Anambra NSCDC SENSITIZES OFFICERS AND MEN FOR EDO STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION

NSCDC declares readiness for Anambra polls with 11,000 men, 30 special dogs  | KOKOMANSION MEDIA

The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Anambra State command yesterday, organized a one day sensitization workshop for officers and men of the command set to be deployed to Edo State for Saturday’s governorship election.

Declaring the workshop open, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant David Bille, charged the officers and men to be deployed to exhibit high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties during, before and after the Gubernatorial Election.

He also enjoined them to be apolitical and to ensure free, credible and non violent election.

Among the issues discussed during the workshop to acquaint NSCDC Personnel with the guidelines in conducting election in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic include Priority Information/ Behaviours for prevention of COVID-19, Security Guidelines on Edo Gubernatorial Election and NSCDC Roles, responsibilities and duties of Operatives during the election.

In their seperate lectures, ACC Anyanwu Kennedy, CSC Ejikeme Okeke and CSC Onabe Moses, charged participants to avoid any form of financial inducement, be civil in their actions and be smart in appearance with their election identity tags on them during the election.

They were equally reminded of their duty to protect INEC officials, Election Materials and voters during the Election.
