Anambra Police Busts A Robbery Gang

Following a distress call from Mr Okafor Fidelis of Amorji village, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area, police has arrested three suspects, who allegedly robbed him in his house.

According to a statement by Anambra Police Public Relations Office, SP Haruna Mohammed, Police Operatives attached to Neni division in conjunction with the local vigilante group responded to the distress call which was made at about 12:28am on 11th October, 2020.

According to the report, the suspected robbers who broke into Mr Okafor’s house and stole the sum of 20,000 naira were arrested due to the swift response.

The Suspects who were identified as Chibuike Allwell aged 20, Chiemena Uwuoba aged 16 both hail from Abia state and Ileabuchi Chukwudi aged 20 of Umuifite , Agulu are all male .

Exhibits recovered in their possession were the sum of 20,000 naira, a cutlass, a knife, Spanner, two torch lights , charms and other incriminating items.

Mr Haruna said that the case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to court.
