Anambra Police Commissioner Condoles Onitsha Market Fire Victims, Highlights Security Achievements

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has sympathized with victims of the Onitsha Main Market fire, which broke out early Friday morning.

The fire, which started around 6:20 AM at Ifejika Street by Sokoto Road, was swiftly tackled by the Anambra Fire Service. No lives were lost, and investigations into the cause are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the CP highlighted recent security successes, including the rescue of kidnapped victims, arrests of armed robbery and cult suspects, and the recovery of weapons. He assured residents of continued efforts to maintain law and order. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and support security agencies.
