Anambra is set to hold the second edition of the Anambra Media Excellence Award.
The Media Excellence Awards, which recognizes outstanding media personalities, programmes and media houses, seeks to honour media practitioners that positively influence perceptions in the Anambra media landscape.
It is largely noted as one of the most vibrant in Nigeria.
According to a press statement issued on Friday by the Association of Digital Media Core Advocates ADMCA,
Nonye Nwokoye will host the main event and the red carpet session will be hosted by Ify Okoye.
Nonye Nwokoye, an award-winning broadcast journalist, presently working with the Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS and is renowned as a celebrity compere in the South East,
While Ify Okoye, is a broadcast journalist and the producer of ‘Ndigbo Diaspora Affairs Show’, with remarkable experience in red carpet hosting.
The event which will be streamed live on some terrestrial TV stations and social media will have a paper presentation by
Dr. Mbalisi Chinedu, on the topic:
‘Media in the Age of Crime, Cyber-propaganda and Fake News: Challenges and Prospects’.
After which awards will be up for grabs across platforms like radio, television and social media for those deserving.

Recognition for hardwork is a powerful way to encourage progress in our society and the awards help media bodies and personalities stay positive, engaged, and motivated.
The ceremony is set to hold on November 29, 2020 at the elegant Main Auditorium of Marble Arch Hotel, Awka, Anambra State.
