Mentally challenged persons who have been staying at the Onisi Onira Garden, Boromieo Round About, in Onitsha, have been relocated by the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

The exercise which was led by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, and a team of professionals from Social Welfare Department of the Ministry, succeeded in rescuing the two mentally challenged young men.

The men were transported to Awka, where the Commissioner introgated them.
One gave his name as Obinna from Mbano in Imo State, while the other was incoherent and could not say anything meaningful.
The Commissioner eventually, cleaned them up, before they were moved to Nteje Home for the mentally challenged, where they will be cared for, rehabilitated and equipped with skills before being reintergrated back to the society.
