Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr OnyakaChukwu Ibezim today Friday 5th January, 2024 inaugurated “Mbaukwu Peace Co-ordinators” drawn from all the villages in Mbaukwu, following the resolution of Mbaukwu General Assembly which held on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024, at the Community Civic Centre and Pavilion .
This among other things are part of follow up plans and strategies to birth sustainable and long-lasting peace in Mbaukwu, the Deputy Governor’s home town.
The committee according to Mr. Deputy Governor, is charged with the responsibility revolving round “straightening, streamlining and legitimising the the 4-point agenda the whole community reached at the General Assembly.
The four points Agenda include the following:
a. Constitutional Ammendment.
b. President General election which is expected to hold on Easter 2024.
C.Sharing formula based on 12 Units of the the community, namely: Umuodum, Umuezilo, Umuoma, Ebenano, Umuezune, Umuoba, Ndiagu, Uru, Ngodo, Ananso, Obuofia, Ezinwafor.
Iv. Creation of One Additional Village For Namkpu Quaters.
While congratulating the Peace Coordinators for availing the community their time, wealth of experience and knowledge needed to birth sustainable peace and development entirely free of charge, Dr. Ibezim also charged them to also work other relevant stakeholders so as to achieve generally accepted community constitution.
