Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration has reassured of its commitment towards supporting and promoting indigenous goods in the state.
The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim gave the assurance while speaking to the press shortly after inspecting Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing factory in Nnewi.
Deputy Governor Ibezim who explained that promotion of locally manufactured goods is one of the top priorities of the present administration, encouraged manufacturers in the state to be quality conscious and stick to standards in their productions.
He encouraged Ndi Anambra to key into the patronization of indigenous goods initiative, so as to help boost the state’s economy and encourage emergence of more factories in the state to reduce unemployment among the youths.
The Deputy Governor also revealed that as part of the efforts of the Soludo government towards maintaining clean and healthy environment across the state, the government is currently negotiating with waste-bin manufacturing companies in the state including the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, IVM and others so as to actualize its door to door stationing of waste-bins for easy evacuation of wastes.
