Anambra State Ministry of Lands now has a new Permanent Secretary.
He is Mr Ejike Uzochukwu, who took over from Mr Emenike Ezinando.
The handover was witnessed by the various Heads of Units and Departments within the Ministry.
In his assumption speech, the new Permanent Secretary, Mr Ejike Uzochukwu, the immediate past Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Tertiary, Science and Technology, promised to deploy his years of experience to bear, to beef up the standard of his new ministry.
Mr Uzochukwu who solicited the cooperation of his staff to better the lot of the ministry, promised to be fair in dealing with everyone in the ministry.
The Permanent Secretary also charged them to ensure they follow due process, as well as avoid delay in delivery of official assignments, and thanked Governor Obiano for finding him Worthy of the job.
In his handover speech, the former Permanent Secretary Ministry of Lands, who is now in charge of Tertiary, Science and Technology, Mr Emenike Ezinando, encouraged his successor to be prayerful in order to succeed.
He asked him to always look critically into files before arriving at a decision, urging the staff to give the new Permanent Secretary total support to enable him succeed.
The former Permanent Secretary listed some of his achievements in the ministry to include good management of numerous conflicts, settlement of most of the petitions, stabilizing electricity power supply for the comfort of every one.
He also said they were working on digitizing the ministry by establishing geographical information System (GIS) where manual datas are being imputed into the system for analysis and easy output, as this will help in land administration in the state.
Mr Ezinando however pointed out some of his challenges to include constant litigation by some enforcement agencies and lack of utility vehicles among others.
