The Anambra State Police Command has arrested five suspects linked to crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of firearms.
In a press statement released on Sunday, the spokesman for the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed that the suspects were apprehended in separate operations.
He added that a locally made Beretta pistol and a suspected stolen vehicle were recovered during the operations.
Ikenga attributed the arrests to the ongoing security operational review and safety measures implemented by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, which he said are beginning to expose the “undesirable elements” in the state.
Ikenga assured that all suspects would be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations
