The Anambra State Police Command has responded to allegations of a connection between a prominent monarch and the militant group known as ‘Unknown Gunmen.’
In a a viral video that surfaced on the Internet , Mrs. Ujunwa Agueze, a beer parlour operator, confessed that her husband collaborates with these gunmen and revealing a longstanding relationship between the group’s members and the Traditional Ruler of Owerre-Ezukala, Igwe Thomas Ogbannaya.
During interrogation, Mrs. Agueze disclosed the existence of camps used by the gunmen within the community.
In a report by a journalist Izunnna Okafor in Awka, the police, represented by SP Ikenga Tochukwu, have deemed the information credible and are launching a forensic review and investigation into the claims.
