
Anaocha L G A Aligns with Governor Soludo: Transition Chairman Honored
Anaocha Local Government Area resonated with political fervor and unity on Friday, April 25th, 2024, as it hosted an alignment rally in support of Anambra State’s Executive Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo. Dubbed “Anaocha Unite for Soludo,” the event unfolded at the Anaocha Council Secretariat in Neni, drawing widespread attention and participation.

A notable highlight of the rally was the declaration of support for Governor Soludo by over 126 individuals, including newsmen, who formally defected to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the ruling party. Among them were members of the Hausa Community, emphasizing their unwavering endorsement of Governor Soludo’s leadership. Additionally, over 12 Soludo support groups, comprising various segments of the community, lent their enthusiastic backing to the governor’s cause.

Honorable Ikechukwu Ozoh, the Transition Chairman of Anaocha LGA and the event’s chief host, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, especially those who joined APGA. Noteworthy among the defectors were various Soludo support groups such as the All Soludo Support Group (ASSG), Soludo Youth Movement of Nigeria (SYMON), and others, underscoring a unified front in support of Governor Soludo’s administration.

In his opening address, TC Chairman Hon. Ozoh lauded Governor Soludo’s achievements across various sectors, including infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, and healthcare. He emphasized the significant expansion of the workforce, particularly in education and healthcare services, benefitting the people of Anambra State. The rally, themed “ANAOCHA UNITE FOR SOLUDO,” reaffirmed the community’s steadfast commitment to Governor Soludo’s vision and leadership.

Traditional rulers in Anaocha LGA, represented by HRM Igwe C. N. Okpala, HRM Igwe D.O. Ezeani, and HRM Igwe A. O. Oragwam, hailed Governor Soludo’s unparalleled dedication and direction. They commended Hon. Ozoh for his exemplary leadership in managing the affairs of the local government, fostering unity, and promoting development.

The presence of APGA state executives, including Chief Barr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye and Mrs. Esther Onyekwesi, underscored the party’s solidarity with Anaocha LGA’s alignment with Governor Soludo. Chief Sir Bobisco Okoye, a key APGA stakeholder, echoed widespread praise for Governor Soludo’s governance prowess and called for continued support from the people of Anaocha LGA, advocating for the governor’s reelection.

In response to the influx of defectors from various political parties to APGA, the State Chairman, Chief Obi-Okoye, assured equitable treatment within the party. He unveiled the “APGA to The Kindreds Initiative,” pledging to extend APGA’s campaign outreach to every corner of Anambra State. Leaders of the defectors, including Umaru Gombe of the Hausa community and Mr. Titus Ogudogwo, affirmed their dedication to strengthening APGA’s presence in Anaocha LGA, buoyed by Governor Soludo’s impactful governance and Hon. Ozoh’s local leadership.

The alignment rally not only showcased Anaocha’s unified support for Governor Soludo but also celebrated the collaborative efforts of local leaders in driving progress and development within the community.
