The All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra has dispelled rumours that Prof Chukwuma Soludo did not include members of the party in the 80-man transition committee headed by Dr Oby Ezekwesili.

National Co-ordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe gave the clarification in a statement made available to journalists in Awka, Anambra State.

The statement noted that the report making rounds with an allegation that the incoming Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo failed to include APGA members and supporters in the list of his Transition Committee members is untrue.

Noting the report can only be a written distraction from the camp of mischief-makers, Obigwe reeled out the names of the party’s stalwarts who made the list. According to him
The present State Secretary of APGA, Barrs Tony ifeanya including
Hon Nwabufo Nwankwo,
Dr Nelson Omenugha,
Hon Chinedu Nwoye,
Thankgod ibeh,
Rt. Hon Uche Okafor,
Hon (Dr)Ben Nwankwo,
Hon Amaka Obi,
Chief Pat Ubajaka,
Damian Okolo and
Harry Uduh all made the transition committees list.

Reiterating that the claim of having sidelined APGA members in the composition of the state transition Committee members list is false, Chinedu affirmed the Transition Committee members are not necessarily those that will serve in Soludo’s cabinet.

He pointed out that the job description is self-explanatory, which is to oversee the transfer of power from a friendly government that gave birth to the incoming friendly government.
Urging the people to trust Soludo and believe in his judgment, he stated that it’s imperative to give the incoming governor the needed cooperation and support to succeed in office as he was confident he will definitely meet the expectations of Ndi Anambra.
