Army will defeat terrorists, bandits, declares COAS

Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, reiterated the army’s commitment to eliminating all security threats facing the nation in his Easter message on Sunday.

Lagbaja affirmed the Nigerian Army’s unwavering determination to defeat insurgents, bandits, and other aggressors disrupting the country’s peace. He highlighted the army’s significant achievements in various operations, particularly Operation Hadin Kai in the North East and internal security operations nationwide.

In his address, Lagbaja urged all army personnel to pray for continued success and wished Christian faithful and all Nigerian Army personnel a joyous Easter celebration. He emphasized the importance of training and equipping soldiers to combat security challenges effectively, ensuring their welfare remains a top priority.

Lagbaja encouraged service personnel to utilize the Easter period to pray against negative forces hindering Nigeria’s peace and progress.
