Aspire FC has qualified for the play off, after beating Malick FC at home 3:1 and topping the D2 table with 16 points. Aspire FC fought hard for their win, knowing fully well that losing the game will ruin their chance of playing play-off and probably gain promotion to Nigeria National League (NNL).

Although some of Aspire FC’s key players were injured before the match, they played like a team to get the desired result to face the D1 Leaders for a playoff that will come up soon. Recall that Aspire FC beat Malick FC home and away.

The match started by 3:05 pm with the first half ending goalless.
The first goal came in by 65th minute from Igen Kelvin after dribbling past a Malick FC defender to put the ball past the shot-stopper.
Malick FC equalized at 75th minutes to make it 1:1
John Bassy was introduced in to help push attack.
Sani Abubakar was taken down in eighteen-yard box of Malick Fc and penalty was given to Aspire FC at 85th minute which John Bassy played and followed up with a head to the net to make it 2:1 in favor of Aspire FC.

John Bassy Brace came in at the last minute of the regulation time to make it 3:1 for Aspire Fc.
Coach Obinna Ayam of Aspire FC gave God all the glory for the win saying that to gain promotion to Nigeria National League (NNL) is their target , emphasizing that they must work to win the play-off against D1 table topers.

Speaking to Sports Writers, the team Manager Aspire FC Amakom Austin expressed his joy and narrated how winning the game has been his primary concern and commended his team of coaching crew for their tactics and formation to ensure they won, and commended the President of Aspire FC Dr Chief Emeka Okeke (Ikemba Di Ugwu) for his support to make sure it all victory.
