National League One Side Aspire Fc Adazi- Ani on Friday 24th of June 2022 beat Ingas Fc of Enugu 2:1 to top the D2 table with 13points while Ingas seat second with 11 points, as both teams, have one outstanding match to determine the winner of the league.
According to Aspire FC Coach Chikaodili Anya his team will do everything possible to win their last game against Malick FC to secure a playoff slot and eventually gain promotion to Nigeria National League (NNL) Chika expressed his joy over the win and Commended his boys for the victory.
Inga fc coach Kingsely Obiekwe commended his boys for a good fight against Aspire and emphasized that’s his team lost due to the fact that they failed to utilise the opportunities they had during the match,Obiekwe urged the league management company (LMC) to organize trainings and lectures for the referee for better performance.
The team Manager of Aspire Mr Amakom Austin expressed his utmost joy over the victory of his team and maintained that despite topping the leagues table, there is much work to be done as they prepare to face Malick FC of Imo state, he appreciated his Boss Chief Dr Emeka Okeke for his support towards the welfare of the players and promised to do his best to win his remaining match that will gain them a promotion to (NNL).
