Bauchi Police Arrest 2 Sisters For Pouring Hot Water On Woman Accused Of Husband Snatching

In Bauchi State, a 19-year-old woman, Sa’adatu Abdurrahman Liman, has sustained serious injuries on her neck and cheeks.

This happened when
one Fatima Muhammad Sani and her sister, Zulaihat Muhammad Sani, poured hot water on the girl, alleging that she was dating one of the suspects’ husband.

Bauchi’s police spokesman, SP Ahmed Wakil, who disclosed the arrest of the suspects on Tuesday, said the victim (Sa’adatu) was deceitfully brought into a house in the Gida Dubu area of Bauchi by Fatima Muhammad Sani (17) and her sister, Zulaihat Muhammad Sani (15), both of Gida Dubu area.

He said the suspects battered Sa’adatu and thereafter poured boiling water on her.

Wakil explained that the two sisters did this to the woman on the account that the victim was dating one of the suspects’ husbands.

He pointed out that when they got the report of the incident, a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) visited the scene and arrested the culprits, then, rushed the victim to the hospital.
