
The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor, has called on Christians to embrace faithfulness as that is the guarantee for God’s visitation and miracles upon them in the year 2021.
Bishop Ikeakor made the call while preaching at the 2021 Prophetic Prayer Breakfast held at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Amichi to herald the year 2021.
According to him, the anchor for survival this year would be complete trust in God and righteousness, urging them to trust God no matter what happens around them as He never fails.
Bishop Ikeakor called out on Nigerian leaders, blaming the increasing poverty in the land on their indolence and insincerity.
He told the nations leaders that the youths are angry and that the anger will continue until the right things are done.
He drew their attention to the deplorable condition of of the nation’s roads and health facilities while they travel by air to visit their states and also travel abroad for medical attention, abandoning the poor masses to their fate.
He queried the rationale for paying jumbo salaries to illiterate politicians while professors are going home with peanuts, and warned that there would be strange deaths in Nigeria this year unless leaders amend their ways before God.
Speaking further, Bishop Ikeakor said that in 2021, God will start to stop all the powers, persons and rulers who have declared themselves unstoppable. He said that God will shake and shock the political and ruling class through deaths and mishaps.
Preaching on the topic “Help from above” Bishop Ikeakor said that with the situation of things in the country, the only hope of help to the people must come from above.
To be able to access this help, he said that the people must commit to a life of righteousness and godliness, absolute trust in God in all situations, obey divine instructions and standing on the word and promises of God.
Prophetic prayer breakfast is an annual event that holds every first day of the year in the Diocese of Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government of Anambra State.
The Bishop proclaims God’s word and declares blessings on the people for the new year.
