The body of late Tochukwu Nwobele, who was assassinated in South Africa some months ago has been laid to rest in his father’s compound in Ndiagu Village Mbaukwu.

His mission to South Africa some years ago to change the family economy and better the lives of his family members ended in anguish, sorrow and heart break.

According to reports, the corpse was brought from South Africa on Thursday and was brought home to Mbaukwu around 9:15 pm on Saturday. Family members, the President General of Mbaukwu Progressive Union, Sir Godwin Onyiliuka and other sympathizers, were on ground in his Father’s Compound to receive his corpse.
While mourning his untimely death, the Mbaukwu Progressive Union( MPU) thanked all who made it possible to ensure that he was brought back to rest where he belonged.
Chief Christian Ebede, Osuofia Oxford, whose commitment to the task was unparalleled and also, the efforts and contributions of MPU South African particularly that of Chief Jay Jay Nwankwo, Okaa Obulu Uzo and numerous others were extolled by the MPU.
Also worthy of mention are the likes of Nwokediuko Okpala, Mr. Obidiah Okpala, who worked round the clock and spearheaded numerous arrangements, from recieving his body at the Airport down to Mbaukwu.
As the family mourn the loss of their son, the prayer is for God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
