Buhari pays tribute to 41 vigilantes killed by bandits in Katsina

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the The killing of 41 persons at Yargoje forest of Kankara LGA of Katsina state have been condenmed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

It was reported that some bandits, last Wednesday, invaded the home of one Alhaji Muntari in Kandarawa, Bakori LGA of the state, and stole 80 animals.

Moving to retrieve the stolen animals, members of the proscribed vigilante group, Yansakai, went after the assailants, but they were ambushed and 41 of them were killed by the gunmen.

In a statement on a Sunday, ,issued by Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesman, the President paid tribute to the 3 families, pointing out that the sacrifices of the brave men who are working to prevent and punish crime in their communities will not be forgotten.

He prayed that the bereaved families will be consoled in this difficult period and for the repose the soul of the deceased.
