In a thrilling development from the world of beauty pageants, Chidimma Adetshina has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
Representing Taraba State, Adetshina’s journey to the crown has been marked by resilience and grace. Despite being disqualified from the Miss South Africa pageant earlier this year, Adetshina bounced back, capturing the Miss Universe Nigeria title. In her acceptance speech, she called for unity, stating that the crown is not just for beauty but is a call for unity.
The 23-year-old law student will now represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November. Having spent most of her life in South Africa, she expressed excitement about reconnecting with her Nigerian roots and culture.
The pageant, held at the Festival Hotel in Lagos, saw 24 contestants competing for the prestigious title. Miss Universe Nigeria is a spin-off from the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, organized by Silverbird Communications.
