Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University defends 2021 budget before the state Assembly

In line with statutory provisions, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka, has successfully defended its 2021 budget before the state House of Assembly.

Led by the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr. Basil Nwankwo and his team, the management of the teaching hospital defended its budget which made provisions for its capital and recurrent expenditure.

The state House of Assembly Committee on Appropriation expressed delight with the budget defence and with its operations which it noted, have helped to improve the health care delivery in the state.

Recall that Anambra state government set aside the sum of Six point eight billion naira for the health sector to continue the implementation of strategic initiatives that will help fill identified gaps in the state health system which the Covid-19 pandemic has exposed.
