As the new variant of Covid-19, the Covid-Delta spreads like wildlife in parts of the world, scientists are working round the clock to improve on medical advances to slow down its spread.
To prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus some people have taken advantage of the approved vaccines to be vaccinated.
However, ir is a knows fact that some people are sceptical about taking the vaccines believing that it has dangerous consequences.
Reacting to the situation, a former Head of Local Government Administration, Chief Chike Obuekwe, who visited the Jerome Udoji State Secretariat complex, Awka, to take his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, dismissed the rumour as untrue pointing out that the vaccines are safe.
He disclosed that he took his first dose of the vaccine on the 7th of April this year, and reported to take the second dose but found out that it was not available.
Chief Obuekwe advised the citizens to take the vaccines to stay safe from the Covid-19 virus, and also advised on the use of protective gears against the virus as well as observing all the protocols.
In a remark, the Head nurse in charge of the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Clinic, Mrs.Chinenye Akusoba, revealed that she has vaccinated almost two thousand persons at the clinic.
Mrs. Akusoba reported that she exhausted the second supply of the vaccine before the first of June and promised that vaccines will be administered to people as soon as new consignments arrive.
