The Commissioner for Housing Hon Pauly Onyeka, has given deadline to contractors handling the Judges Quarters in GRA , Onitsha, Onitsha North LGA, frowning at the delay being experienced on the project.
The Commissioner gave the deadline during an inspection tour of the site, accompanied by some key staff in the Ministry.
He expressed dissatisfaction at what he termed, “deliberate delay by the contractors” despite efforts by Anambra State government to ensure that the job is delivered on schedule.
The Commissioner emphasized that Governor Soludo is expected to officially commission the project soon and any further delay would jeopardise State government’s efforts.
” l am happy we have made progress, but let me be clear, if by 6pm Wednesday, i find any incomplete building here, we will revoke the contract and hand it over to another contractor.
Hon. Onyeka commended Governor Soludo for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructure development across the State
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer, TIVOGE Properties Ltd, Chief.Titus Anagbogu on behalf of other contractors, assured the Commissioner that the job would be completed on schedule.
