
The President, Living Faith Church , popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has called on the government and Nigerians to deal with the monster of social media.
He made the call during the seventh convocation ceremony of Landmark University, Kwara state on Friday 18th June . In his address themed Comparing The Challenge Of Education Without Integration, he warned that this generation may lose her heroes to social disaster if left unchecked.
He said that measures need to be put in place to check free access to social media, especially the aspects not adding values .

Saying that social media robs people of their future by robbing them of their time, he said that the social media saga has eroded the substance of destiny of most youths. He called it a major minus.
He decried the situation the country is facing with a generation on the wrong side of history as youths nowadays chat all day with no time left to think, plan , programme and engage productively in the pursuit of any task.
Advising parents of the graduands, he said parents should give them free hand toward developing themselves to be self sufficient and reliant. He also stated that the nation is looking for job creators who can assist in job and wealth creation, not job seekers.
46 students of the institution graduated with first class honour in the 2021 academic session .
Reacting to the Clergyman’s message, a social media user Haris Haris said that the disadvantages of social media in the life of the youth of Nigeria is more than the disadvantages and that only God can help these generation.
