Dr. Alex Ekwueme Sq, Awka, To Get Huge Makeover Soon
Very soon, Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, which hosts the unknown soldiers’ Cenotaph where parades are held, as well as other major events, will undergo a huge makeover.
The Commissioner for Information Sir Paul Nwosu, who disclosed this in a statement in Awka, said Anambra State Government has approved the release of the sum of thirty-four million, sixty-one thousand, two hundred and two naira, seventy-five kobo (N34,061,202.75) for the Reconstruction of Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
He said the contract was awarded to Maxplus Integrated Services Ltd, with a completion period of 10 weeks from the date of the payment of the 20% mobilization fee.
