
In view of the Easter celebration coming up on Sunday 4th April, 2021, Anambra Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has deployed five hundred and fifty 550 of its personel, both Officers and Marshals, as well as six hundred and fifty 650 Special Marshals for traffic control and rescue operations.
The State Sector Commander CC Andrew Kumapayi, made this known while addressing officers and Marshals of the command.
He said as a lead agency in traffic management, FRSC ANAMBRA is committed towards ensuring a safer motoring environment during the Easter celebration.
The State FRSC Sector Commander posited that the command will ensure Ndi Anambra travel for Easter celebration safely without interference along major highways.
CC Kumapayi further hinted that all flash points known for traffic gridlock will be manned, while Tow Truck, and Ambulances will be deployed at strategic points in the State to clear any obstruction and administer emergency cases respectively.
He also explained that the Command will collaborate with other Sister agencies, to ensure Easter Crash Free celebration.
Further more he cautioned motorists to desisit from all traffic infractions during this period especially Driving against traffic, Drunk driving, non installation of speed limiting device, Use of Phone while driving, Speeding and Overloading, warning that the command has set up mobile Courts to try traffic offenders.
According to him also, the command will deploy her Personel to parks and fleet operators terminals to conduct test on drivers in order to detect drunk drivers and disallow them from driving.
While wishing Anambra residents happy and crash – free Easter celebration, Kumapayi reminded them that they should call 122 Toll free lines in a case of crash or gridlock.
