The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has strongly condemned the alarming rise in child kidnapping and trafficking in the northern region.

Following the recent dismantling of a human trafficking syndicate by the Kano police, which led to the rescue of seven children, the Emir, represented by Ahmad Umar, Dan Malikin Kano, declared that the emirate will no longer tolerate the trading of children.

Addressing journalists, he emphasized the urgency of proactive measures to curb this illicit trend, calling for decisive action and punishment for the perpetrators to deter future incidents.

The Emir expressed concern about the violation of trust by those taking advantage of Kano’s hospitality for criminal activities.
