In a significant political development, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, the 2023 governorship candidate for Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, has officially rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Edeoga, accompanied by supporters, made his return on Monday, April 1, 2025, at the PDP state office in Enugu. Addressing the gathering, he thanked Governor Peter Mbah and the party leadership for facilitating his smooth return. He pledged to work alongside Mbah to ensure the PDP remains a dominant force in the state.
PDP state chairman, Dr. Martins Chukwunweike, welcomed Edeoga’s return, stating it marked a strategic step toward party unity and success in the 2027 elections. The Isi-Uzo Local Government Chairman also praised Edeoga’s decision, noting the developmental projects initiated by Mbah in the region.
