Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, refuted allegations of a $6.2 million payment to foreign election observers, absolving himself and former President Buhari of involvement.

Mustapha emphasized that documents purportedly signed by them were forged, as he testified at the trial of former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele. He stressed that the responsibility for such payments lies with INEC, not federal agencies.

Further trials are scheduled for March.
