Tensions have escalated within the Labour Party as caretaker chairperson Nenadi Usman challenges factional leader Julius Abure over his threat to expose Peter Obi, Alex Otti, and others.
Abure had warned of revealing damaging secrets, but Usman dismissed the threat, urging him to bring evidence forward. She revealed on Channels TV that Abure is under police investigation and accused him of undermining internal democracy.
Usman claimed Abure’s tenure as national chairman had ended and said INEC directed him to step down. She insisted the party is addressing its leadership crisis according to INEC’s guidelines, amid efforts to restore order.
