The Federal Government has approved a major transformation of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State.
Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo revealed that Terminal One, which has long suffered neglect, will be completely rebuilt, while Terminal Two will be expanded to handle wide-body aircraft.
Smart technologies will be integrated into both terminals to meet global standards.
Speaking Sunday, Keyamo said the project will not rely on foreign loans, but will be transparently funded through local initiatives.
The aim is to deliver a modern, efficient “smart airport” that matches top global benchmarks. A visual presentation of the plans will soon be shared with the public.
