
Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency (ANCSDA), recently, concluded a 4-day workshop on Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Program which commenced on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Trig-Point Hotel at Nibo, Awka South Council Area.
Speaking, the General Manager of ANCSDA, Mr. Chudi Mojekwu who took the participants on RAPID RESULT APPROACH (RRA), an Initiative from Kenyan Mission which detailed the smooth take-off of NG-CARES in Nigeria and Anambra in particular.
Coincidentally, Mr Chudi Mojekwu was among the Nigerian team that went on study tour to Kenya early this year on the preparation for the implementation of NG-CARES in Nigeria.
According to I- Witness report, Mr. Mojekwu commended the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano for his doggedness in ensuring that Anambra State becomes part of the states where NG-CARES Programme is being implemented in the country.
On her part, the Head, State CARES Coordinating Unit, Mrs. Ogochukwu Orji said the four-day training will help the staff know how to facilitate and follow up on the implementation of the program and therefore charged the participants to actively engage in the workshop.
Some of the presentations during the Training include; Overview of NG-CARES ( Programme Development Objective – PDO), Scope of Program, Key Performance Indicators, Institutional arrangement, Overview of the Program Result Area1(RA-1), Gender and Vulnerable Issues in NG-CARES, Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS), and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) issues in NG-CARES; Program Result Monitoring, Funds flow & Fiduciary Management amongst others.
Individuals present include, Operations Manager ANCSDA, Mrs Uche Nwaizugbo, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager ANCSDA, Mr Chuddy Nworah, and Finance & Admin Manager ANCSDA, Mr Francis Madubuonu, others.
