FG. Evacuates 102 Nigerians Stranded In Libya

Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency has brought back
102 Nigerians stranded in Libya.

The agency brought back the 102 distressed citizens mostly young women from Tripoli, to the country on a chartered flight via Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with registration number 5A-DMG.

NEMA confirmed their arrival in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the NEMA Director General received the returnees on arrival at the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja.

The returnees were composed of 93 female adults, 3 female children, 3 female infants, 1 adult male, 1 male child, and 1 male infant.

It further disclosed that NEMA was joined by various organizations, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Refugee Commission, NAPTIP, FAAN, Police, and DSS in bringing back the stranded persons.
